JOB SUMMARY
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function with or without reasonable accommodation.
Revision of PHC services:
  • Take basic parameters and perform triage of patients and fill in patient medical records: weight, height, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, etc.
  • Perform medical procedure according to doctor prescription: dressing, injection, nebulizer, etc
  • Assist/perform diagnostic test such as ECG, Hb, blood glucose, urine test, pregnancy test, and any other rapid diagnostic test available in the clinic
  • Provide health education about patient’s current health conditions and health in general
  • Ensure patient understanding about drug regimen, health condition and follow up visit
  • Maintain examination room in order an ensure full supply needed for services provision
Administrative:
  • Assist doctor in filling patient’s medical records for each patient visit
  • Assist doctor on prescription of drug, filling referral form for any referral case outside of clinic
  • Assist in filling and maintaining clinic records as required on timely and accurate manner
  • Assist in integration of clinic services and promote best quality standards for clients
  • Assist with organizing patients flow in the clinic
Training:
  • Participate in medical and management trainings as determine by IMC 
  • Continue self-education to adhere with national/international standards and new advancements in the field of general practice and other relevant medical areas

2-  Senior Child Protection Officer (camps)

Child protection is the prevention of and response to abuse, neglect, exploitation and violence against children. Child protection case management is the process of helping individual children and families through direct social-work-type support, and managing information well. Within child protection case management, there should be appropriate involvement of children throughout the process, as well as full consideration of the best interests of the child.                        
The position of Senior Child Protection Officer (camps) will be a seasoned protection professional with a formal degree in psychology, sociology or social work. The Senior Child Protection Officer will provide direct supervision to the IMC Child Protection Team Leaders in both Za’atari and Azraq camps. The Child Protection Team Leaders each manage a team of Child Protection Case Managers in the camps, with these Case Managers being responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring and overall evaluation of individual children’s needs. This includes all children identified as being at risk in both camps, with the exception of unaccompanied and separated children in Azraq camp, as this profile is managed by another INGO.
The Senior Child Protection Officer (camps) reports directly to International Medical Corps Camps Coordinator, and receives technical guidance and supervision from International Medical Corps Protection Advisor.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities 
Scope of Work:
  • Responsible for the direct supervision of 2 Child Protection Team Leaders, one each in Azraq Camp and Za’atari Camp. Each of these Child Protection Team Leaders is responsible for the management of large child protection teams in both camps.
  • In addition to direct supervision and management tasks, provide technical guidance, support, mentoring, coaching and role modeling of best practice for child protection case management, both to the Child Protection Team Leaders, Case Managers and to all child protection staff in the camps.
  • Represent IMC at all field level protection and child protection coordination meetings.
  • Alongside an SGBV service provider in Za’atari camp, co-chair the Child Protection/SGBV Sub Working Group in Za’atari Camp.
  • Maintain close coordination with IMC’s Protection Advisor and other Child Protection Technical staff, to identify and address any technical aspects related to the child protection program, in order to ensure high quality services in both camps
  • Closely support the Child Protection Team Leaders and Child Protection Case Managers with all cases undergoing Best Interest Determination (BID) process. This includes review of all BID reports, attendance at BID panels to support IMC BID cases, and represent IMC where cases of other agencies are presented. In addition, ensure timely and clear communication to the Protection Advisor regarding all BID cases
  • Coordinate and participate in case conferences, both internal and external, for complex and other cases as required in both camps
  • Support the recruitment process for all child protection staff in the camps
  • Ensure high quality child protection case management services are being provided to children, and that documentation completed by Child Protection Case Managers reflects this. This will be done through capacity building and training for staff, and quality measures such as file checking and case discussions and reflections
  • Work closely and effectively with other International Medical Corps departments to ensure coordination between child protection and other sectors of intervention, primarily health, mental health and PSS services
  • Contribute to donor reporting in relation to child protection activities in both camps, ensuring high quality and accurate reporting of data and activities, as well as capacity building staff to ensure they are able to actively and effectively continue to donor reporting
  • Work with International Medical Corps MEAL team to ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of child protection activities in the camps, including regular engagement with beneficiaries
  • Promote and communicate Child Safeguarding and PSEA to all staff in the camps, and ensure that any issues are brought the attention, including through proper reporting mechanisms, to International Medical Corps focal points for both Child Safeguarding and PSEA
  • Ensure high quality correspondence with local partners, other agencies and governmental organizations
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested by supervisor

  • Overseeing antenatal care, gynecologic care and obstetrics care in Irbid Maternity hospital
  • Supervision and oversight of midwives
  • Provision of clinical management of rape, willingness to learn and follow associated protocols
  • Performing deliveries when precipitous deliveries present to clinic.  In the future, additional vaginal deliveries may be a part of clinical activities
  • Identifying high risk pregnancies warranting transfer to hospital
  • Providing referral services with a good understanding of transfer procedures within and out of camp
  • Carrying out a clear, complete documentation of patient care and required forms
  • Providing post-partum care.
  • Providing clinic related procedures (ultrasound, intrauterine device insertion) with a demonstrated competency
  • Administering appropriate treatment and counseling for sexually transmitted infections
  • Adhere to infection control guide lines.
  • Provide TA in development of health education material and health promotion campaign as necessary

JOB SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Apply guiding principles in working with children, being guided by the best interest of the child in all actions at all times.

  • Communicate and work effectively and appropriately with children of various ages and their families, including those who have experienced very difficult situations
  • Assess risks, needs and strengths and develop the appropriate response in consultation with the child and/or his caregiver(s)
  • Collaborate with clients to plan, implement, monitor, and amend individualized services that promote clients’ strengths, advance clients’ wellbeing, and help clients achieve their goals. Plans shall be based on meaningful assessments and shall have specific attainable, measurable objectives.

SUMMARY:
This position will be primarily responsible for ensuring timely delivery of sub-grantees financial reports. The finance officer should work closely with the program team and finance team to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the financial reports while ensuring compliance with IMC and donor procedures and guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review sub-grantees’ cash requests and financial reports to ensure the amounts requested are eligible, well-documented and in line with the sub-grant agreement terms of payment.
  • Liaise with program staff to ensure timely delivery of appropriate sub-grant deliverables is completed before any payment.
  • Responsible for working with the budget holder in updating the pipeline and sharing with the Finance Manager on a monthly basis while ensuring meeting deadlines.
  • Ensure all sub-grantee expenditures are allowable, allocable, and reasonable according to the approved budgets in grant agreement (i.e. budgetary controls).
  • Undertake regular financial reviews and give appropriate recommendations to sub-grantees in areas that need correction or improvement in their systems and procedures.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations with the finance team to ensure sub-grant finance records are up to date.
  • Maintain sub-grant financial tracking systems and share relevant information with senior management team as appropriate.
  • Review sub-grantees’ documents to ensure compliance with donor requirements in coordination with program and finance teams.
  • Open new award file for new sub-grant, maintain and update hard and soft copies of all activity documents (sub-grant agreement, modifications, financial documents, reports).
  • Maintain grant file documentation according to the Grant File Checklist.
  • Assist in preparation of documentation for audits ensuring that all requirements have been met.
  • Regularly visit the sub-grantees to conduct compliance reviews and provide mentorship as necessary.
  • Identify areas for building the capacity in partner organizations and work with the Global Communities team to help address these needs and strengthen areas identified for improvement.
  • Any other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
  • Education/Degree: BA in Accounting, Finance or similar, Advanced degree is desirable
  • Years of experience: Min (2) – Max (4) experience working with NGOs or UN agencies.
  • Experience in financial management of sub-grants.
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office programs, particularly Excel and Access
  • Excellent negotiation, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Professional level spoken and written English and Arabic.

Scope of Work:
  • Ensure the accuracy and authenticity of all accounting and financial records and transactions.
  • Timely submission of accounting documentation and reports to IMC Headquarters, and follow-up for needed adjustments.
  • Manages the finance department of the country office to meet the financial reporting requirements of in-country management and Headquarters; This function includes ensuring that all financial reports are submitted on or before the deadlines set and contain relevant information for all the users of the financial reports
  • Directs the preparation of all financial reports for external purposes in respect to accounting, legal and contractual requirements
  • Ensure financial transactions are carried out in accordance with IMC, Donors and local legislative policies and procedures.
  • In coordination with other departments facilitates and supervises budget preparation and submission, monitors budgeted versus actual expenses for each project ensuring administrative compliance with donors’ requirements, in coordination with Budget Holders prepares review of the budget expenditures for the Country SMT with suggestions for re-alignments or Cost/No-Cost Extensions.
  • Supervise and mentor junior finance staff and committed to staff training and development
  • Maintain open lines of communications with all staff.
  • Establish systems and apply Internal controls to prevent fraudulent activities.
  • Attend coordination meetings which are relevant to country activities
  • Work with key donor Staff to develop and maintain optimum financial and programmatic relationship
  • Interface with national government and relevant agencies to ensure compliance with varying government regulations
  • Determine training needs for finance staff
  • Train staff to increase their responsibilities in order to build capacity and ensure sustainability of programs.
  • Make frequent visits to field offices provide training to finance staff on internal procedures and requirements.

Qualifications Required:
  • BA in Accounting, Finance or similar, Advanced degree is desirable
  • Minimum 7 years managerial experience in a non-profit organization or equivalent experience, training and education
  • Comprehensive knowledge and working experience with USAID, DFID, ECHO, EU, UN agencies and other donors
  • Extensive experience in working with Excel and computerized accounting system.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in the English language is a must
  • Analytical approach, Strong attention to details and numbers oriented
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving, planning and decision making skills
  • Good time management skills and must be able to prioritize different tasks
