PLACE IN THE ORGANIZATION:-
The incumbent is responsible to the Branch Manager for supervising and monitoring the activities of
Loan Officers who manage and retail specific lending products to ensure the implementation of the
set targets and maintenance of standards.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
 In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent:
 Supervises and monitors the activities of the Loan Officers working with
specific loan products within the Branch Office to ensure that they meet
the quality standards and product targets;
 Visits the business of the potential clients/applicants to evaluate their
assets, working capital, cash flow, income, business and family reputation
and financial reliability; makes recommendations that should be
appropriate to ensure minimum credit risk;
 Trains Loan Officers and provides technical advice and guidance through
regular meetings and ongoing review of their activities to ensure that they
are competent and skilled to do their jobs;
 Promotes the programme in his/her designated district of responsibility in
order to open new market opportunities to increase product outreach to
the optimum level;
 Ensures that clients comply with necessary legal and contractual
procedures and complete their obligations to provide the required legal
collaterals;
 Follows up due and late repayments with Loan Officers/Agents, through
group meetings and individual counselling in order to solve credit and
performance problems in the field;
 Generates monthly progress and performance reports in the area s/he
supervises in order to provide managers with up-to-date performance
details;
 Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
 A university degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or Accounting;
 Training in sales, marketing, finance, community or economic development.
 At least three years of satisfactory professional work experience with a supervisory role in
management, administration or development of financial administration of loan programme,
two of which at least should have been in a related field work.
 Good knowledge of written and spoken English and Arabic
Competencies
 Excellent skills in using standard computer software;
 Representational skills including communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills;
 Ability in setting basic goals and strong analytical skills;
 Proven management and leadership skills and basic goal setting;
 Advanced understanding of policies, procedures and work methods;
 Intermediate understanding of local laws and regulations;
 Ability to work under pressure and deal with responsibility.

 Possession of a valid driving license is required, as the incumbent of this post is required to travel

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
 In accordance with established Agency policy and procedures the incumbent is responsible for:
 Promotes and retails credit to micro-entrepreneurs and small businesses through visits to
designated local market and industrial areas to support business development by financing
working capital and investment opportunities;
 Promotes and retails consumer and housing loans to low-income households through visits to
their workplaces and households to provide finance for household assets and home
improvement;
 Ensures screening of prospective borrowers, including visiting the businesses and/or
households, completing the loan applications, analyzing the loan requests and
recommending disbursement;
 Through individual marketing and promotion channels, ensures financing new and repeated
loans to increase the size of the portfolio;
 Monitors and leverages an adequate healthy caseload of active borrowers;
 Follows up on payments of performing portfolio to ensure adequate repayment rate;
 In coordination with the relevant MD staff, follows up on payments of bad portfolio from
delinquent clients to reduce its volume;
 Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Option One: Loan Officer
Academic and Professional Qualifications:
Completion of a two-year post-secondary diploma in accountancy, business, marketing or
other related commercial discipline.
Experience:
Three years of relevant working experience, including in microfinance (as a Loan Officer),
sales or marketing
Option Two: Junior Loan Officer
Academic and Professional Qualifications:
Completion of a two-year post-secondary diploma in accountancy, business, marketing or
other related commercial discipline.
Experience:
As this is a first entry level is for fresh graduates, no working experience is required. (Any prior working
experience during study will not be considered as qualifying experience).
Language
Good command of spoken and written Arabic and English
Competencies

 Customer focus with commercial judgment;
